So I met up with a friend of mine yesterday which was fabulous. We spoke about the Biafra war in Nigeria, about the African elite pandemic, about colonialism and the effect of Christian missionaries on the social fabric of the African continent. A moment straight out of a Chimamande Adiche Ngozi novel. So I was particularly taken by Josephs outfit, the combination a stripe shirt with houndstooth jacket felt very African Dandy. His greatest style icon...his grandfather.

I walked through and found Mrs Auke de Vries

I was recently at a sculptors walk-through at the Nirox art foundation near to the Cradle Of Humankind. The Dutch sculptor's wife was a spectacle. I hope Im like her when I grow up :)

I have NO idea where she got her apparel from.

So I have been debating whether I can wear this dress to a wedding or not. I love the colour, Yves Klein blue, and the shape is very Balmian AW09. But the big question is...is it appropriate?
